1.What general skills & techniques do you use ?        

Throwing, throwing and altering and some slab work. I salt fire my work layering slips and ash to create a complex fluid glaze to be explored beyond its surface

I graduated in 1991

       3.Explain your work

  1. Processes involved eg., clays used, firing range etc.

Gas fired salt glaze, 12 hour firing to 1310 c.

I use Scarva earthstone original  ES5 but have also worked with the  architectural clay ES70 on two shop facia commissions.

  1.      What has been your proudest piece that you have produced and why.

Sometimes hearing that someone has enjoyed using one of you mugs every day for the past 5 years describing it as their favourite mug can make you simply proud

  1. What are your future ambitions ?

To continue making and developing my functional work, selling direct through ceramic fairs and galleries and to work on more large scale projects.
