Earlier this month, Nigel Huddleston, the Minster of State visited our HQ to tour the new factory and to listen
and discuss our wonderful industry.
An increasing part of our business is exportation and we believe that growing this area will help not only our
local economy but the ceramics industry overall.
The visit gave us a great opportunity to discuss issues we face in our sector with exportation and raw material supply.
The minister took a tour of the gallery, warehouse, and new factory with our Managing Director, Hannah Ault,
and our Chairman, Alan Ault, who are both seriously passionate about our sector.
He viewed first hand how a traditional business can continue to thrive and got to hear about how important
the industry is to the UK as a whole.
He spoke with Freddie Scragg, one of our LoveClay students about the rise of people joining the industry as a
hobby and it becomes a business. Had his schedule not been so tight we would have surely got him behind the
potter’s wheel in our studio to throw some pots!
