The Ceramics Centre at the heart of the Potteries is all set to launch an exciting range of clay themed courses and events at its new state of the art workshop facility & gallery space.
LoveClay will launch its first event on Valentine’s Day, Wednesday 14th February, at Valentine Clays new HQ in Fenton. The themed evening will be an opportunity for 7 couples to have a go at throwing whilst enjoying canapes, mood music, chocolates and champagne.
The evening commences at 7pm and will last for 2 hours with couples being greeted in the gallery area with a glass of champagne and canapes before heading into the workshop space to have a go at throwing their own pot.
Teacher Jon French, who has over thirty years’ experience, will guide the couples through four handed throwing to help them to create their very own couples pot as a special keepsake from the evening.
Each couple will receive a red rose and chocolates during the event which is priced at £50 per couple with the choice of two evening dates Wednesday 14th or Saturday 17th February.
Other themed courses include a Mother’s Day event with Bone China flower making and afternoon tea, and a Prosecco tasting, beauty demonstrations, and pottery throwing Ladies Evening.
For the more serious ceramics lover there are also dedicated courses for learning how to throw with a one day Beginners Throwing Course to developing their ceramic ideas with a more intense Beginners Pottery Evening Courses that runs for 10 weeks.
Further themed events, professional masterclasses and children and family sessions will be available later on in the year.
Jon French, LoveClay Teacher, said: “I am really looking forward to running this event which I am sure will be lots of fun. It’s a great opportunity for couples who are looking to do something a bit different this Valentine’s Day other than going out for a meal and it’s a nice way to create something together that you will be able to treasure.”
Hannah Ault, Sales & Marketing Director, commented: “Valentine’s Day seemed the perfect day to launch our courses and events especially as it’s the companies name sake and the Managing Director’s birthday, which gives a bit of a hint to where the company got its name from.
“It’s exciting to see that we only have two places left on the 14th February event but there is still plenty of availability on the Saturday (17th) evening.
“I am really looking forward to seeing what the couples are going to create especially with a bit of fizz in the mix but I am sure it will be a very enjoyable evening for all.”
LoveClay the ceramics centre at the heart of the Potteries is open from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
