We are thrilled to reflect on the resounding success of our Summer Ceramics Fair held on Saturday 24th June in collaboration with Love Clay.

The event proved to be an incredible celebration of creativity, community, and the joy of ceramics.

Our artisan market, curated by Castle Artisan Markets, showcased a diverse array of talented makers, offering visitors a unique opportunity to explore and purchase exquisite ceramic pieces as well as other handmade art, jewellery, and a delightful assortment of treats.

The tantalizing aromas wafting from the food trucks enticed attendees to savour delectable treats, while the bar served much-needed ice-cold refreshments for those basking in the sun on the lawn in front of the stage.

The sounds of live bands filled the air, creating a vibrant backdrop for the festivities.

Charitable stalls, including the ever-popular tombola and face painting, raised over £500 for The Dougie Mac and The Hub, whilst bringing smiles to faces of all ages. Adding to the fun, our very

own Alan Ault ran the ceramic coconut shy, infusing laughter and friendly competition into the mix.

The raku station provided a captivating spectacle, allowing attendees to witness the mesmerizing transformation of clay in real-time. The Loveclay studio offered immersive experiences,

with pot throwing and hand-building workshops held throughout the day.

The event saw an overwhelming turnout, with people arriving in droves to soak up the energetic ambiance.

As the sun beamed down, the fair transformed into a haven of creativity and enjoyment.

What began as a quick look around for some turned into hours of delight, as visitors immersed themselves in the magical world of ceramics, connecting with artists, and relishing in the collective passion that filled the air.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended, contributed, and made this event a resounding success. It is your enthusiasm and support that continue to inspire us to create memorable experiences and foster a vibrant ceramics community.

Our next event will be on Saturday 25th November for the Christmas Light Switch on so save the date and watch this space!
