Flying the Flag for Ceramics: Hannah Ault at Parliament
We’re incredibly proud to share an exciting update from the heart of Westminster. Our very own Managing Director, Hannah Ault, recently attended a prestigious dinner at Parliament in her capacity as President of Ceramics UK. This influential evening brought together key voices from the ceramics industry alongside Industry Minister Sarah Jones MP, all gathered to shine a spotlight on the pressing issues facing our sector.
The event was more than just a dinner. It was a powerful opportunity to raise awareness about the real challenges currently impacting ceramics manufacturers across the UK. Topics on the table included rising energy costs, ongoing supply chain disruptions, and the need for long-term support to secure a sustainable future for our industry.
With her usual energy and passion, Hannah championed the interests of the ceramics community, representing not just Valentine Clays, but the wider network of makers, manufacturers and innovators who make up this vibrant and essential sector.
Fittingly, the evening’s dinner was served on elegant Duchess China crockery, a proud symbol of Stoke-on-Trent’s rich pottery heritage. It was a beautiful reminder that ceramics are not just part of our history, they’re an integral part of our present and future.
Moments like these remind us how vital it is to have strong voices like Hannah’s advocating for the industry on a national stage. We’re thrilled to see her representing us with such dedication and leadership.
Here’s to continuing the conversation, driving positive change, and ensuring the UK ceramics sector remains strong, supported, and celebrated for generations to come.
