Fluxes

Fluxes are essential components that lower the melting point of silica, the primary glass-forming material in glazes and clay bodies. By promoting the formation of a glassy phase, fluxes enhance the melting and fusion processes during firing, allowing ceramics to mature at lower temperatures.
