New Clay

Bistro Porcelain Casting Slip

As far as I'm concerned it's behaved exactly how I'd want to. It casts quickly and without any issues at all, demoulds easily, and there were no issues at all with firing. At this point I have nothing but praise for it!

It takes colour well, I've added colour to the body and tested and no issues. Happy with the consistency with casting and the fired colour, not too bright white, it's a lovely clay.

Fired it feels much stronger than the other porcelain sculptures I've made even though those have molochite additions (I didn’t add anything to the Bistro) Would definitely use again.

In general it poured and emptied very nicely fettles beautifully. So far I LOVE this clay!

Leora Honeyman

Worked well as a flame ware body, fired to 1260c. It was only initial testing, but the results were very promising, using a small slip cast bowl on a gas hob, it worked 10 times and with the boiling water quickly replaced with room temperature water. No cracks yet.
