‘Versatile Red Stoneware for High-Fired Perfection’

£21.62
Description

PF 690 is a Red Stoneware clay ideal for potters seeking a high-fired clay body. Its fine texture makes it excellent for throwing large pieces and hand building, without the fear of slumping.

This versatile clay can also be used as a Red Raku body. PF 690 is known for its outstanding plasticity and the right amount of tooth, which makes it resistant to warping, cracking, and thermal shock.

When fired at 1100°C – 1180°C, it yields a beautiful brick red colour. Increasing the temperature to 1220°C-1260°C, the colour gradually darkens to a rich reddish-brown.
