Denise Brown is a ceramic artist based on her family farm in rural Fenland, Cambridgeshire.

Inspired by the wild landscape and isolated buildings around her, Denise’s work reflects space, stillness, and a deep connection to place.

Each piece is hand-built from thin rolled slabs of B17C Stoneware and textured using found farm objects from broken machinery to dried grasses and stubble.

Pieces are air-dried, finished with coloured terra sigillata slips, then bisque fired and detailed with underglazes and hand-drawn decals resulting in thoughtful, layered forms rooted in the landscape.
