ES 60 Earthstone is a finely grogged alternative to our ES 50 (Crank), offering a smoother surface and closer texture for handbuilders and sculptors.

Crafted with the needs of artists in mind, ES 60 provides a warm, plastic clay with excellent green strength, ideal for creating detailed and intricate forms that require a smoother finish than standard cranks can provide.

This clay body is well-suited for reduction firing and raku techniques, showcasing a versatile firing range from 1120°C to 1280°C. In oxidation firings, ES 60 yields a toasted buff colour, while under reduction, it develops a warm speckled orange buff hue, adding depth and character to fired pieces.
