ARTIST INSPIRATION

Amy Cooper

Amy Cooper Ceramics, based in Cornwall, UK, creates unique porcelain lighting inspired by the sea, microscopic worlds, and twilight landscapes. For over 2 decades, they have supplied prestigious retailers like The National Trust and the V&A Shop, exhibiting widely in the UK and abroad.

Their work explores the fragility of nature, using porcelain’s translucency to craft monochromatic designs rich in texture and light diffusion. Pieces are either slip-cast and intricately sandblasted to highlight patterns or manipulated while soft for textured, organic forms. Each is diamond-polished, with surfaces glazed or left bare for tactile finishes, fired to 1250°C.

They work from their home studio, balancing creativity and family life while ensuring every design meets certified standards.
