Ember is a rich burnt red stoneware casting slip, bringing warmth, depth and an earthy character to the finished clay body. Its distinctive natural colour provides a striking surface in its own right and an expressive base for glazing and decoration.
Part of the award-winning LoStone range, Ember brings low-firing stoneware to slip casters. Fully vitrified at just 1160°C, it delivers the strength and durability associated with stoneware at a significantly lower firing temperature than traditional stoneware bodies.
Developed for reliable casting performance, Ember gives makers the freedom to create strong, vitrified stoneware forms through slip casting while benefiting from the lower firing temperatures at the heart of LoStone.
