Frost is a soft off-white stoneware casting slip, offering a clean, natural base with a warmer character than a brilliant white body. Its understated tone makes it a versatile choice for both functional and decorative ceramics, whether left partially exposed or used beneath glaze.
Part of the award-winning LoStone range , Frost brings low-firing stoneware to slip casters. Fully vitrified at just 1180°C, it delivers the strength and durability associated with stoneware at a significantly lower firing temperature than traditional stoneware bodies.
Developed for reliable casting performance, Frost gives makers the freedom to create strong, vitrified stoneware forms through slip casting while benefiting from the lower firing temperatures at the heart of LoStone.
